I like baking and cooking but I can't use butter called for in the ingredients anymore. My lab test showed my cholesterol on the high limit.
I love olive oil and I would like to use it for my baking and cooking instead of butter but I don't know
how much olive oil I should use to be equivalent to the amount of butter given in the recipes. I need a chart
to facilitate the transition. Can you help?

Substituting olive oil for butter is a must when you have cholestrol or cardiovascular problems. Olive oil is a good
choice specially it is the only oil in existance which is squeezed raw from its fruit, the green olives, and not processed.
Here is the chart to substitute olive oil for butter or vise versa:

1 teaspoon 3/4 teaspoon
2 teaspoon 1 1/2 teaspoon
1 tablespoon 2 1/2 teaspoon
2 tablespoon 1 1/2 tablespoon
1/4 cup 3 tablespoon

1/2 cup 1/4 + 2 tablespoon

If I substitute olive oil for butter will it taste the same? I love butter but if it is healthier to use oil I wouldn't mind trying it. Just wanted to know if it tastes the same.
