Yogurt (Probiotic Yogurt, Yoghurt) is a dairy product produced by bacterial fermentation of milk. People have been making, and eating yogurt for at least 4,500 years. Yogurt is rich in potassium, calcium, protein and B vitamins, including B-12 Yoghurt is a wonder food, antibacterial and anticancerous. The secret to good yogurt is that it contains live cultures.

There are four major strains of bacteria to look for; 1-Acidophitus, 2-L. Bulgaricus, 3- S. thermophilus, and bifidobacteria Yogurt boosts immune functionning system by stimulating the production of gamma interferon and also spur the activity of cells that attack viruses and tumors.

It's wise to incorporate the consumption of a cup or two of yogurt in our daily diet. A daily cup of yogurt reduces colds and other upper respiratory infections in humans. It can also help to prevent and cure diarrehea. Full fat yogurt helps fight bone problems, such as osteoporosis, thanks to the high available calcium content. Yogurt with Acidohilus culture prevents vaginities (yeast infection) in women. Acidophilus yogurt cultures also neutralize cancer-causing agents in the intestinal tract. Plain old yogurt with L. bulgaricus and S. thermophilus cultures, both live and dead, has blocked lung cancer in animals in lab tests. Research shows yogurt strengthens and stabilizes the immune system, maximizes nutrients to be absorbed into your body, and insures the digestive system to stay healthy.

Yogurt has medical uses, in particular for a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, and in preventing antibiotic-associated diarrhea. Yogurt is believed to promote good gum health, possibly because of the probiotic effect of lactic acids. Yogurt also kills the "bad" bug in the human gut.

I have always consumed yogurt, even when I didn't know of its benefits. As I study the benefits and recommend it to friends and family. I would like you to also try adding it to your daily diet.
