BBQ Chicken Shish Kebab Recipe

1) In a food processor mince the garlic, then add the onion and pulse until finely chopped. Add to the onion mixture all the spices, cayenne pepper, black pepper, thyme powder, paprika and mix until incorporated. Add the lemon juice and yogurt and mix together well.

2) Cut the chicken breast into 1 inch cubes.

3) Add the chicken to a Ziploc bag or plastic non reactive container and also add the yogurt marinade and cover well.

4) Place in the fridge for 2 to 3 hours or over night.

5) After refrigerating the chicken remove and place on skewers. Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste.

6) Using a barbecue grill, make sure to dip a kitchen paper towel in vegetable oil or oil of choice and rub the oiled paper towel on the grids so that the chicken does not stick.

7) Place the skewers on the hot barbecue grids and cook approximately for 8 to 10 minutes on each side or until its cooked thoroughly. Flip over as needed.

8) Serve with BBQ Vegetables like tomatoes and onions.

*NOTE - If using bamboo skewers it is recommended to soak the skewers in water for an hour so that the skewers do not burn on the BBQ grill.
