Bulgur Pilaf with Coriander & Almond Recipe

Bulgur Pilaf with Coriander & Almond Recipe - Whole grain healthy wheat bulgur pilaf that is so healthy and fat free recipe. Its a great addition to your diet menu and still has an amazing flavor. Topped with toasted almond.


1) Heat a little oil in a saucepan and saute the onion until soft and lightly golden brown.

2) Add the coriander to the onion and cook for a minute.

3) Mix in the bulgur to the onion and pour in the water. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

4) Cover the pan with a lid, and cook for 20 to 25 minutes until the bulgur is tender.

5) Turn heat off, fluff with a fork, and place into serving platter.

6) Season with a little more black pepper ontop, and sprinkle with almonds.


  1. 1/2 cup finely chopped onion (1 small)
  2. 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  3. 1 1/2 teaspoons whole coriander seeds, crushed
  4. 1 cup #4 Course bulgur
  5. 2 cup water
  6. 1/3 cup slivered almonds,toasted
  7. salt to taste
  8. black pepper to taste
