Cajun Spice Mix in a Jar

Cajun Seasoning Recipe

Recipe for Cajun Seasoning

A gift in a jar, a spicy and attractive gift, personally home made and tastes perfect on potatoes, meats, fish and even vegetables.  Below, there are two ideas on how to present this as a gift.  The sand art look, or the mixed version.  Personalize this simple and fun gift with a label or tag, stating what the seasoning is, and what it can be used on, as well as perhaps your favorite way of using this Cajun Seasoning Recipe.  Perhaps even include the recipe for Cajun Seasoning.  It is a thoughtful, frugal and great gift to give.  Make several and pass it around to all your friends and family.   Also you can make some other fantastic seasoning blends available right here at HowToExpo.com.

Instructions:

1st method:  Pint Canning Jar

1) Using a decorative jar or a simple plain jar that you plan to give as a gift.  Make sure the jar is clean and dry.

2) Place each scoop of herbs into the jar, making a sand art look.  Each layer on top of the other.

3) The salt and cayenne can be reduced in the amount you want to add instead of adding an equal amount.

4) Make sure to use an air tight seal or cover for long lasting freshness.

5) Place a label or tag on the jar stating what the seasoning is, and what it can be used on.  Or perhaps your favorite recipe using this spice.
