Crepe with Ground Beef Appetizer Blinchiks Russian Recipe

Crepe with Ground Beef Appetizer - Blinchiks Russian Recipe, Blinchik. Making a crepe batter and the filling then frying in some hot oil makes this appetizer a great finger food for parties.  This Russian food can be stored in the freezer for up to a month and can be fried immediately, does not need to be defrosted.  Crepe recipes like this easy one will make your appetizer table stand out from all the rest!


For the filling:

1) In a frying pan saute the onions until soft, then add the ground beef and brown until fully cooked. Season with black pepper and salt to taste.

2) When the meat is cooked turn heat off, then add the parsley and give a good mix.

3) Allow for the mixture to cool.

4) Meanwhile make the Crepes, in a large mixing bowl, combine the milk, salt, eggs and beat with a hand mixer.

5) Sift the flour, baking soda and salt and incorporate into the milk mixture.

6) Set aside for 30 minutes.

7) Into a frying pan heat a drop of oil, then ladle a small amount of mixture to make the crepes.  Continue until done, and allow to cool, place in paper bag or cover with plastic wrap.

8) Take each crepe and place a little bit of the filling in the middle.  Fold in the sides and roll like a cigarette.

9) Place in a tupperware to save until ready to fry or freeze them for later use.

10) When ready to serve, in a sauce pot, filled with conola or vegetable oil and heat.

11) Place the blinchiks one by one carefully into the hot oil and fry until golden brown.

12) Remove with a slottted spoon onto a platter with kitchen paper towel.

13) If the blinchiks are frozen previously, no need to defrost, fry them frozen.

  2. 2 1/2 pounds ground beef
  3. 2 onions, finely chopped
  4. Salt to taste
  5. black pepper to taste
  6. 1 bunch Italian parsley, chopped
  7. CREPES:
  8. 6 eggs
  9. 1 1/2 litters of milk
  10. 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  11. 4 cups all purpose flour
  12. Salt, a pinch
