Fettuccini with Ham and Mushroom in Pink Sauce

Fettuccini with Ham and Mushroom in Pink Sauce recipe. This wonderful pink alfredo sauce recipe is quick and easy and dinner will be ready in no time.

 

Instructions:

1) Cook the pasta in a pot of boiling water for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente.  Then drain the excess water and set aside.

2) Meanwhile, in a large frying pan or saute pan, melt the butter.and saute the onion and garlic until soft.

3) Mix in the mushrooms, and herbs (basil, oregano and parsley. Cook until any liquid released from the mushroom has evaporated.

4) Place the ham and cook for 2 to 3 minutes with the mushrooms.

5) Add the heavy cream and bring to a boil, then add the spaghetti sauce and crushed red pepper (optional). Bring to a simmer and cook down for about 10 minutes.

6) Add the fettuccini to the sauce and mix together well. Sprinkle a little shredded parmessan and chopped parsley.

7) Serve and enjoy!

  1. 16 ounce fettuccine pasta
  2. 2 to 3 tablespoons butter
  3. 1/2 cup finely diced onion
  4. 3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced
  5. 16 ounce fresh sliced mushrooms
  6. 1 teaspoons dried oregano
  7. 1 teaspoons dried basil
  8. 2 to 3 teaspoons dried parsley
  9. 6 slices ham, chopped
  10. 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  11. 1 cup spaghetti sauce
  12. 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)
  13. 1 teaspoon shredded Parmesan cheese
