Recipe For Turkey Meatloaf (Barbequed Meatloaf): This is an easy recipe that doesn't require many ingredients. You can serve it in so many ways, could make some great meatloaf sandwiches with your favorite bread. Serve it with salad or just with greens, excellent with red wine. DIRECTIONS

1- In a large bowl,  add the ground turkey, (or 1 1/2 pound ground beef)  bread crumbs, 1/3 cup chilly sauce, onion, egg,  sage, salt, pepper, and mix well to combine.

2- After the ingredients are well combined, shape the the mixture on a large plate  into  a 8 x 4 inch oval loaf about 1-1/2 inches thick. Cover with a foil and chill in the fridge for minimum of 40 minutes or up to 6 hours .

PREPARE THE BARBECUE

3- Oil the racks of grill, having the heat on medium then using a large spatula, place prepared loaf on the oiled rack and grill covered for about 13 minutes.

4- While the meatloaf is grilling,  combine remaining 1/3 cup chili sauce , mustard and brown sugar mixing them together well.

5- After the loaf is cooked for 12 minutes, carefully turn it over and brush the top with chili sauce mixture.

6- Continue to grill covered for another 13 to 15 minutes or until the thermometer inserted in the middle of the turkey meatloaf reads 165 degrees or the center of the loaf is not pink any longer.

7- wash the large spatula with soap and warm water and use it again to transfer the barbecued meatloaf to a clean plate.

8- Let the loaf stand 5 to 10 minutes at room temperature before slicing.

Ingredients: 
  1. 1-1/2 pound ground turkey or ground beef
  2. 2/3 cup chili sauce
  3. 1 egg
  4. 1/2 cup chopped onion
  5. 1/2 cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
  6. 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
  7. 1/2 teaspoon black pepper or to taste
  8. 1/2 teaspoon dried and powdered sage
  9. 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  10. 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
