How do you make pesto sauce you ask?  Well here is a wonderful pesto sauce recipe, you can make this sauce ahead of time, for those days that you are rushing to whip together a quick quick meal or spread it on your favorite bread and make a great sandwich.  Try grilled cheese sandwich with a layer of pesto sauce to add a great flavor to your meal. 

If you ever wondered how to make pesto sauce, then this is a good recipe to try.  Flavored with a variety of herbs, and pine nuts and extra virgin olive oil.  It is as simple as that.  Will store in the fridge for upto 2 to 3 weeks.  So plenty of time to use it all up and experiment with plenty of lovely meals that you and your loved ones will rave about. 

1) Using your food processor, mince the garlic and pine nuts, then add the parsley, basil, oregano, mint, thyme, and dill.

2) Add the Parmesan cheese and salt.

3) While processing on slow, slowly pour the extra virgin olive oil into the mixture, until well blended.

4) Use as needed for your recipe, and store the extra pesto in a zip lock bag, or a tightly sealed clean jar. 

Make sure to store the Pesto Sauce in the refrigerator.

  1. 3 tablespoon pine nuts, toasted
  2. 2 garlic cloves
  3. 1 1/2 cups fresh Italian flat leaf parsley
  4. 1/2 cup fresh basil
  5. 1 tablespoon fresh thyme
  6. 1 tablespoon fresh mint
  7. 1 tablespoon fresh dill
  8. 1 tablespoon fresh oregano
  9. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  10. 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
  11. salt to taste
