Italian Turkey Meatloaf - Recipe For Turkey Meatloaf
This recipe for Turkey Meatloaf is for those of us who want to try something different yet easy and delicious. Using Turkey instead of beef to make this recipe gives it a wonderful flavor. It is also considered healthier alternative choice, especially if you do not want to eat red meat. A great Italian Turkey Recipe that we are sure all your loved ones will love. Even the kids! Serve it with a hearty salad with your favorite dressing to make this meal complete. Next day if you have any left over, you can slice up a piece and put it between your favorite bread and warm it up, and have it for lunch. Perfect addition to your recipe cooking album.
1- preheat the oven to 350 degree
2- In a large mixing bowl, add the ground turkey turkey sausage, egg, bread crumbs, 1/2 cup spaghetti sauce(save the other half cup) garlic, salt and pepper to taste and mix well to combine all the ingredients together.
3- On a 15 x 10 inches jelly roll pan (loaf pan will be tight for this recipe) shape the turkey and sausage mixture into a loaf about 10 x 6 inches.
4- Pour the saved 1/2 cup of spaghetti sauce over the loaf.
5- Bake for 1 hour or until the thermometer inserted in the meatloaf, reads 165 degree and it is no longer pink in the center.
- 1 pound ground turkey
- 1 pound Italian sausage (sweet or spicy)
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 2 clove garlic, minced
- 1 cup prepared tomato and basil spaghetti sauce
- salt and pepper to taste
