Semolina Pudding Dessert Recipes - Mamounyeh - Served mostly as a breakfast recipe, but of course now a days its served whenever you crave for it.  And craving is what will happen, cause this pudding recipe is just delicious.  Its very easy to prepare, and your kids will love it also.  This can also be made with just water if you prefer, it just wont be as creamy.  The semolina will soak up any liquid you put in it!  Decorate with cinnamon and nuts of choice and you are on your way of wowing your friend and family when cooking up this pudding recipe! Enjoy!


1) In a sauce pot melt the butter and once the butter has melted add the semolina and cook on low heat stirring until all the semolina has turned lightly toasted (light brown) About 3 to 5 minutes. 

2) In another sauce pot combine the milk sugar and bring to a boil, then lower the heat and add the orange blossom water and rose water, and continue to stir.

3) Add the toasted semolina milk and sugar mixture slowly.

4) Continue to cook on low heat until the consistency becomes thicker and creamy. (If to thick add a little milk or water)

5) Pour into individual serving dishs or bowls and decorate with sprinkles of cinnamon, and walnuts, pistachios and almonds of choice.

6) Serve hot/warm and still delicious when served chilled.

*NOTE - Make sure to take out all the lumps with a wire whisk.

  1. 1 Cup very fine semolina
  2. 1 Stick of unsalted butter
  3. 2 Cups Milk or water
  4. 1/2 Cup Sugar
  5. 2 Cups Milk
  6. 1 Teaspoon Rose Water
  7. 1 Teaspoon Orange blossom water
  8. Cinnamon (optional) to garnish
  9. Chopped almond, walnuts, unsalted pistachio (optional)to garnish
