Spicy Feta Cheese Appetizer

Spicy Feta Cheese Appetizer Recipe - Topped with Oregano and other spices drizzled with extra virgin olive oil. Can even use fresh oregano herbs. Simply place in the fridge until ready to serve.


1) Using Greek Feta Cheese  (A feta cheese that is not to soft can also be used.) place the cheese in a shallow serving dish.

2) Sprinkle the chiles, garlic, peppercorns, oregano,  all over the cheese.  ( Some of the spices can fall onto the plate )

3) Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil all over the feta and spices.

4) Place in the fridge covered with plastic wrap.  If the oil is absorbed by the cheese then when ready to serve simply drizzle a little more olive oil to refresh the appetizer.



  1. 8 ounce block feta cheese, about 3"x3" block 1 1/2 inch thick
  2. 4 cloves garlic, roughly sliced
  3. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  4. 5 small dried red chiles (optional)
  5. 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  6. 1 tablespoon black peppercorns
  7. Extra-virgin olive oil
