Vegetarian Broad Beans Stew Recipe

Vegetarian stew recipe with Yogurt Dressing and bread, a perfect healthy meal. Can be served, hot, warm or even cold.  Fava Beans or some may call it broad beans prepared in this way is quick and easy recipe, with onion, garlic, in a tomato sauce and fresh dill.  Topped with the yogurt garlic dressing its just amazing.

This broad beans recipe is unique enough for that wow effect.

Instructions:

1) Wash the broad beans and cut off both tips and remove the stringy portion with a knife.

2) Cut into 1 inch pieces.

3) In a large sauce pot, heat the olive oil.

4) Once the oil is warm, add the onions and saute until it is soft and translucent.

5) Add the garlic, crushed red pepper (or Paprika)

6) Pour in the tomato sauce and diced tomatoes.

7) Then place the chopped dill into the pot and season with salt.

8) Cook for 2 minutes.

9) Pour 1/2 cup to 1 cup of water then, add the Broad Beans (Fava Beans) and cook for 15 minutes on medium high.

10) Serve in your serving plate, Enjoy!

*NOTE - Perfect with Yogurt Garlic Dressing and bread of choice.

  1. olive oil
  2. 1 Pound broad beans (Fava beans, cleaned, cut into 1 inch pieces
  3. 1 onion, diced
  4. 6 ounces diced tomatoes
  5. 6 ounces tomato sauce
  6. 5 to 6 cloves of garlic
  7. crushed red pepper sauce
  8. 1 bunch fresh dill, stems removed, chopped
  9. 1/2 cup to 1 cup of water
  10. Salt to taste
